New to Nitro.. need advice..
hi guys.. i dun race, looking for a truck to have fun/bash around.
this being my 1st nitro truck i need some advice.
i have the following trucks for consideration.
Hpi Trophy 4.6 rtr
Kyosho Inferno ST rtr
HB D8t
Mugen Seiki MBX6T
Xray XT8
i understand they are really quite different, price range and all, but the reason i have them on my list is that i dun really mind a slightly price, as long as they are of good quality. and also i dun really wanna get the impression that 1/8 gas truggy are no fun bcos i skim on the initial cost and get a budget kit..
i dun mind kits as i do enjoy building them, and have to options to convert to electric as well
any advice would be greatly appreciated
thanx

I just got a Kyosho Inferno Neo ST type 1 today... I tried looking for the HPI Trophy 4.6 and no ones got them. You can get them from models.uk for about 470 shipped but it will come from the UK. This will be my first nitro truck as well... I had an electric Tamiya Big Foot truck 15 years ago.

Well
For what it's worth because I've never owned a truggy, the mbx-6 truggy breaks alot of front a arms. I see guys at the track lose lots of races due to broken a arms...I think for the truggy class the hot bodies is the ticket. Inexpensive parts, and from what I have seen at the track it looks dialed.

Hot Bodies D8T or Associated RC8T are no-brainer great trucks out of the box. Serpent for a bit more money...
All good. Of those three though, the RC8T should have the best worldwide parts support - shops, ebay.com, various international ebays, etc.. There are just a lot more 1/8 Associateds out there than other brands, and lots of the parts interchange.. Associated is also ALWAYs at the top of the heap..
Forgot about the Losi - that should also be on the list.. So make it four greta truggies to choose from...
