I see, thanks. It's a mamba monster 2 2650kv motor/ESC.. i just did some research, they are saying savox has low BEC (i dont know what it means), so i'm not really sure which servo to get that will handle this MM esc smoothly.

i'm looking at hitec...

Some savox pull a lot of power. And cause brown outs in the ESC. Basically low voltage.

you can also run an external BEC, which will help with servo power as well.

Yep best bet is to get an external BEC, lots of issues with internal BEC not being strong enough and the external will eliminate any possibility.

My bad, didn't realize u guys posted. Yeah I went to buy the mamba monster 2 combo, and asked the track owner who also has a shop which servo would work better, she said nah, use a receiver capacitor, it would work, so i got that one as well as a Savox 1268sg

ive never been a fan of metal shock pistons.. mainly because.. they could wear out the inner of the shock body.. but.. i have seen some people use them and love them..

i try to use as much from the kit as possible..

I used the aluminum Fioroni 16mm made for Kyosho and they were best pistons I used. They have a replaceable rubber o-ring so aluminum never touches shock body. They were $100 bucks though, now I'd just by the new XB8 shocks. They are best I've seen.

Yes, it works smoothly now! I haven't seen any problems with the servo responding/lagging/etc yet. So yup, that novak capacitor really helps

i have a question about measuring ride height. seeing ranges between 23 and 28 mm but on mine with arms level i'm much higher even with the rear spring collar backed all the way off using 3 stripe progressive. is it measure normal or are the ride height numbers from xray based on the set up stand?

you should use the car on a flat surface.. drop it.. and measure.. something you need to realize.. new springs need to be broke in.. they will settle after a few laps of use. and you can adjust.

they're actually older springs. It just seemed odd to me that get proper ride height that the arms would be a good bit below level. Its my first 1/8 scale so i wasn't sure. i have the losi height gauge and just ordered the hudy blocks and droop gauge today along with some stock springs and the grey/blue springs. car worked pretty good overall just need to soften the brakes up to stop skidding to easily that caused some poor turn in issues. very impressed with the car
