Your best bet is to steer clear of the Redcat brand. They are cheap in price for a reason.
Stick with a company such as Traxxas,Associated,Losi,HPI. These brands are true hobby grade equipment and will provide you with a much better RC experience.
Redcat isn't all bad but they are beginners too and need to learn a little more.

You're still surfing in the wrong area. I don't know what you plan to do with your RC but you're pretty much in the racing thread. Neither of these companies will provide you with anything remotely close to racing.
If you looking for a good time in the park or the backyard, you're still in for a headache. If you're serious about getting in the hobby, there is no need to fish off the bottom. It's your choice and your money but I've listed the companies that I would stick by.
The brands you're looking at are built cheap, have inferior plastics and engines/motors with a half a$$ radio that I wouldn't use to operate a household blender.
If you have a local shop, pay them a visit.

Or better yet, do this!

The Inferno Neo ST just came out. I think it is going to have a pretty big following. It will not surprise me to see a busy thread on here just for that truck.

I see from the video Cody has driven this. How does it go? Looking for something cheap to play with in truggy racing between buggy heats, and this thing looks good for the money.

You get what you pay for, Traxxas and HPI make some of the best Monster trucks around and the parts support is very good, hell pep boys carry traxxas...most if not all hobby stores will have parts for traxxas and HPI.

This truggy has race DNA in a RTR package. Could very well be one heck of a machine.

In my opinion you should check out you local hobby store and see what brands they carry as far as spare parts, I started out in the hobby with an exceed only to realize that is far less reliable than what everyone else had and my local shops didn't carry any exceed parts on hand so I had to deal with the frustration of waiting on parts to come in the mail

Needless to say I only ordered parts online twice before I junked the exceed and bought a losi and I never looked back

Just my $0.02
