the one reason i dont want one " lots of peope run them at local track"

Oh i see i guess take a look at the Hb D8T or the mugen than.
Yea a agree that $820 for the kyosho truggy is nuts espially for a kit !

here are the weight specs i found

serpent......3600g

mugen m-spec....4000g

rc8t ce........4230g

i can already see the serpent clearing the tripples and getting better fuel econemy. also seems to have a lower COG. Witch i like.

i knew the rc8t was heavy but didn't know it was that heavy.

its probably the super thick front arms, lol mine has deep gauges in it from crashes and still not broken they are the original arms too

hey sometimes having a heavyer truggy is a advantage espailly on a rough track easier to drive and you can drive it harder

It doesnt feel that heavy like it says im telling you when i ran it as a nitro.
If you do get it just dont run 7k on the rear diff.

7k in rear diff, dont think i have to worry about that.

i thought that at one time also, sold my losi 2.0 buggy also and got a .............well differnt one, ran it sunday and the thing is like a brick, could not clear the tripple and barley cleard the double. little work to do on the buggy. i went from making podium every single race and came in 5th last sunday.. plenty of time for a new and improved set up.

lol yea believe it or not thats the stock setup on the rc8tce i changed my to lighter rear diff oil right away.

Yea as soon as you go to something diffrent it does take a while to get used to it espially if its a heavyer buggy or truggy.

Even though i dont have any issues clearing a triple with my E-truggy

you wanna get something you wouldn't see everywhere, look at the caster k8t pro...price is right, customer service is top notch, built like a tank, and has been known to hold a tighter line in the corners than most....

sold it that fast huh? you should have drove it ! youll turn faster lap times with an E buggy or E truggy any day of the week that is if you can drive it ! everyone always over powers them runs way to big of pinion for that all out blistering top speed ect.. electric will dominate a nitro on the track hands down!
electric is a different animal and you have to taylor your driving habits and set ups a bit differently but they are definatly faster all the way around! on that 90degree turn to a triple nitro forget about it electric pull trigger and let fly!

and as far as MUGEN SERPENT RC8T drop the RC8T right off the bat, mugens flat out will out turn anything on the market, suspension wise by far the best out, weakest point front lower arms, im in the process of having 40 sets cut out of delrin with the inner web left solid, testing shows 19,000lbs shear force to break where as stock its around 9,000 .

dont know about serpent everyone says they are rock solid and im sure they are, very clean looking, like the radio tray and spring steel tie rods and CVDs just dont know about their customer service but thats where you lose customers ... Im not paying 600 for a roller when i cant get a friken reply from the company about carrying them in our hobbyshop... you got a problem with mugen call chris moore, hes sent me diff gears, front arms, ect.. CUSTOMER SERVICE is key

and really cant decide, money and parts availibility is not a big concern in my decision. i see 2 of the 3 are out of stock untill end of october, also noticed the serpent is the lightest one of the 3. but just can get past the ugly body on the serpent, the mugens are nice but heard they are a bit lazy on the track due to being heavy. then the rc8T comes to mind but heard they snap like twigs. so any help would be great from the guys who have run these! thanks guys! Mike

Out of the 3 you are considering, don't even think about it. Pull the trigger on the Serpent.
