Default How do I remove this?

The part circled in red, I need to remove it, how do I do it?

Also, what's it called?

It's caled a collet. take a small knife or screw driver and open up the slit and it will come off.

It's a collet (normally brass).

Insert a flat head screw driver into the slit and twist it to get it loose. You should be able to get it off after that.

Edit: I got beat to it. Typing on a cellphone is slow

That would be a clutch collet that goes again the front bearing washer and it holds the flywheel tight to the engine crankshaft. I usually use a small flat head screwdriver and put it in the slit and twist until it comes off the drive shaft and slide it up with the screwdriver in place until it's off. Hope that helps.
