Been rumors of a new Losi and I think I remember hearing that an updated Mugen may be coming.
I think driver changes could be the big news this year.

There are more than enough new buggies on the market. Next year should be the year of the truggy.. Time for some new releases there..

I disagree about that.. Maybe in some places, but it's still big here - and Europe generally.. Also seems to be the case Down Under, Canada, and other places..

If anything ALL classes are downsizing, because the number of classes itself is multiplying.. Losis new 1:5, especially if this gets people like Drake and co involved, could maybe impact things in this regard.. Losi HAS to earn more with the 8T than they will with the 5T(as cool as the 5T is.. There are just WAY more truggies out there than there ever will be 5T's...) And if the 5T takes off, and the class grows, then what? Maifield busts out with an RC5SC?.. (would be fun to watch though, I must admit..) Ha ha.. Just random speculation... Anyway, truggy is not dying.

Electric 1:10 SC, unless you're bored in winter, is so pathetic compared to 1:8 nitro it makes my head spin... I'll take up basket-weaving first, thanks.. At a recent local race, there was 1:8 buggy and truggy, then for the first time, 1:10 SC.. After the bug and trug quals, then there were these two little quiet toy looking things, plopping around, duking it out on the track.. People were looking over their shoulders, as if to check if this was some kind of joke or special kids' thing.. It was seriously, ludicrously lame.

Screw electric..

To seasoned 1/8th drivers s/c might be lame but it is one of the best things that has happened to r/c the last few years. It has brought a whole new way to get people in the door of competitive r/c . These samepeople then get hooked and move up to 1/8th scale i think s/c is great and in socal there is a very competitive expert class in 2wd and 4wd back on topic xray will bave new buggy out and believe ae will come with 8t.2 to follow buggy by end of 12

SC is what got me back into the hobby. Now I have 1/8th Nitro buggies and Truggies and SC trucks. SC is going to be around for a while.

Have to agree on this . Its pretty much alive here from where I am. Truggy is on a rebirth and buggys are stonger. Plus there are a lot of competitive races going on.

The 5T is pretty cool IMO. I wanna have my hands on those not exactly racing it but I like the noise it makes. E bugs around here is loosing ground and the 2 wheel SC's 4x4 SC's I think is growing but not as huge as nitros. There is something about nitro that when spectators hear them roaring they will watch it. When the electrics runs they dis appear. I am not bashing electrics cause I run them too but I still prefer to run nitro.
