Default 17mm wheel hub

I am looking for a +3mm or maybe something like a +2.5mm 17mm wheel hub. The hub has to have a 3mm axle pin. It is for an xray truugy. It uses a +5mm extension. I am try to get a little more steering without bein too twitchy.

Just add a little toe out or lower the front ride height or stiffer rear sway bar or softer front sway bar. Idk how adding a wider stance will increase steering. I thought it would take it away and make the truck smoother in the bumps.

I'm tryin to decrease the front stance, but keep the rear at what it is. I have +5 on there now and trying to lower the front to like +3 or +2.5 and keep the rear at +5

So if the stock sway bars are 2.4 up front and 2.8 in the rear either go to a 2.2 up front or a 3.0 in the rear?

Yes. The lighter front will give you more steering and the thicker rear will make the rear slide a little more. I would try the front 1st and then the rear and then both.

Any time. One more thing you could try is lowering the front ride height. Take 1-2 turns out of the shock collars and that will give you a stronger steering response. I think I would try that 1st actually. Then you don't need to buy or change any parts.

a +5 with some creative dremel work can quickly become a +2.5

are they extended wheel hubs? You should be able to grind them down at the back end that sit against the bearing to shorten them....take a couple MM's off and they are no longer +5

i'm running mugen +3mm in the front and 2mm in the rear on my xt8...made a HUGE difference, as did over-driving the rear diff...it turns better than most buggies out on the track!!!

dremelling the rear of the hub will not work, it will make them shorter, sure. but it wont work because of the the pin holding the hub on, if you decide to dremel the hub you will have to re-drill the pin hole.... you would be better off cutting the face of the hex off, where it sits inside the wheel...
