alternative fuel for nitro car
I just got a nitro car used, no idea if it runs. Can I put a little gas or maybe use starting fluid to see if it will start? I dont want to buy nitro fuel and have it not run, If it dont run I simply wont use it ill rather have electric anyways

I heard of these F&E guys trying out some alternative fuels. Not sure what the current status is.

Ah I figured i could get away with gas or starting fluid just to see if it will fire up.....needs to have some type of oil mixed in 2 cycle style since they dont have a oil pan for lubrication correct? I know nothing about nitro engins. It does have a pull start, I pulled it and could feel the resistance as it cycled so I know its not blown. but the cord did not go back in so need to take that apart and fix that.....ive worked on mowers alot I hope its similar LOL. $10 to anyone that wants to ship me a little nitro fuel. like a quater cup half cup Just enough to see if it runs and stays running. Any helpful knowledge on nitro engins 2 that someone wants to spit out feel free im going to do some research on them also just got the car today though

Don't forget you will need a glow igniter as well.

yes you will need a glow ignitor. to heat the glow plug to start

theres no plug at all. no wire hangin off either so I am guessen glow plug. Cant I just use like a torch or something to heat it up? Are glow plugs and glow plug warmers expensive? I bought this car cheap for a mess around project not a money pit.
