Default charging 12volt start box battery???

I have not used a start box for a while and when i did i charged my battery with a car battery charger. I just got a new box and a 12 volt 7 amp battery. The box has everything wired to charge off the charge jacks. I do have a multi charger and the leads to plug in the front of the box or i have a large white plug that will plug into the bottom of the box. But if i plug into the bottom they're is two of the white plugs where the motor and battery are ran together i guess you would say in series. Which is best to charge from and if using my multi charger what setting would i charge a 12 volt 7 amp battery at?

Does it really matter if it is heavy? I saw two lipos catch fire last weekend. Unfortunately you need to use them in the electric cars to be competitive, but why risk it for a starter box.

1 amp or less through the charge jacks. If your charger doesn't have a lead acid circuit...get a wall charger.

It needs a very low, long charge.

I would not have thought it would take such a low charge rate considering the size of the battery. Here is what it says in my manual.
pb- [ lead acid ] max. charge voltage; 2.4v/cell
allowable fast charge current; 0.4c or less
minimum charge voltage cutoff level; 1.75v/cell or higher
I am not sure how to interpret this. And if i do charge though the front jacks, what would the connection plugs on the bottom be useful for?

The battery is a torqmaster hcap0800.If anyone has charger they're battery using a lipo/nimh/nicd/pb and recall what setting you used please hook me up. Thanks.

lipo is the best thing for any starter box! you run them in 500.00 to 1000.00 cars why worry about a 50.00 to 80.00 starter box? ive never seen one catch fire in a starter box, but have seen many melted 1000.00 buggies and truggies

Ive been running 3600 wolfpacks in one box and Venom 3000's in my other one.
is there anything I need to do to run lipos or just plug em in and go.?.
Starter box 1.is a Losi Truggy box.
starter box 2. is a Q-world 3 way box,
If that helps any.?.

just switch to a high current plug like deans or even a traxxas plug, the tamiya plugs will get hot and melt.

you charge this battery at 1/10 the amp hour of the battery. Charge it at 0.7 amps this is the normal way to charge this battery.

I am charging my 7A PB battery on iCharger with following settings:

cutoff voltage: 2.5V
charge current: 3-4A

with standart voltage setting at 2.4v it never seems to fully charge the battery, with 2.5v I can get all & amps into the battery. Battery is not getting warm or anything, I've been running the same battery for 2 seasons now and it's still good. Going to switch to LiPo anyway..
