Any tips on traction?
Was recently at the track after a very long break from r/c (about two years). I purchased a Losi 8B 2.0 and was trying it out for the first time, mainly working out a feel for things again. I noticed the rear end was a little loose and losing a lot of traction in the corners, on throttle. Tried a few different set ups without much success, I'm also running 3 degrees of tow in on the back. Any tips would be appreciated, maybe diff oil weights etc....

start with your diff fluids 5k in front 7k in center and 3k in rear. that's a great starting point and works well on most tracks.

tires... its amazing how much effect tires have on the amount of traction you have.talk to people at your local track to find out what works there.

i also had a 8 2.0 and the same happen to me...
first take off the shocks and look for any suspension binding...
a 5k in the center make the car more forgive ( for me)
check if the rear is spins alot if so put 3 k oil in the rear diff
try 55 pistons in the rear with 30 oil ( that help alot)
depends on the track that you race but putting 14 clutchbell make the car more forgiven
try a softer clutch setup

do the hingepins fall though the arms under thier own weight? even when dirty?
do the ball ends flop back and forth with no effort?
are the swaybays adjusted with some freeplay, or snugged down that they drag?
the more friction free you make the suspension the more traction you get. it can be as much a gain as going to a grippier tire.

All very good suggestions, thank you very much. Let the quest begin, lol.
