Questions?? RC8T CE QUESTION

I had the top A arm pop off just driving the truggy on the driveway hittin a few curb jumps. I noticed there is a lot of play on the hinge pin. I used to run a Mugen and it had little clip spacers to adjust. I am referring to the bottom pf page 12 in the RC8T CE Manual. I just put it together and actually had the earlier version of the first RC8T back in 09. Any advice or guidance would be appreciated.

weird, thats not a shim problem then, sounds like the shock tower and top deck flexed enough to let the pin out

I just got back into RC from a two year break. I used to run the earlier version of the RC8T, and it didn't have all the new blue stuff. Was just wondering if this is an isolated incident, because my old truggy never did this. I hope it was just a fluke. Just seeing if anyone experienced this or if there is a mod to prevent it.

i'm thinking its just a fluke, the parts are pretty much the same as on the older truggy, do see any reason why this would/should happen

Hi Ron! I was just wondering WTH happened to you after Truggyracer.com, it seems like you just disappeared. What happened to you sounds like an isolated incident buddy. I just retired my RC8T 2 weeks ago and bought a Serpent 811-T..it's quite an amazing machine ( and this is coming from a hardcore RC8T fan )
.. I hope you get this issue sorted out..good to have you back!

Nid! Nice to hear fromyou. Long story man. Retired from Army after 21 yrs, Divorced my wife who stole all my RC stuff, have a new GF who bought me ALL NEW stuff. AE FTW, my buddy just got sponsored thru Serpent with their new Truggy btw. I modded the CF radio tray to work with the new btry box. Looks clean. I wonder if there is a part out for it already or if it has been modded before. Either way, I call dibbs on it!!!

Here are some pics of the Nitro and Electric builds.....

wow thats a beauty i like the "electric rc8t i just converted my also call me crazy but i think the rc8tce converted is a lot more plated and easier to drive with the extra weight

i whould of got the teken conversion kit for it but i could only could afford the associated rc8t conversion kit, the only thing that sucks on it is the motor mount a pain to adjust without takeing things apart to get to it.

HOLY CRAP dude! Sorry to hear about your marriage buddy..you can always count on an ex to kick you when your down I'm glad your new girlfriend is cool my friend. Your new toys look sharp..I went with Serpent because many in our club switched to Mugen, and they've been a pain in my ass ever since, I was having a hard time being one of the fast guys ..I mean I was still fast with it, but I had to work so much harder to stay ahead of the same guys. This Serpent is a game changer, I just took it to the track for the first time yesterday, and it's a whole different beast than my RC8T.

Good to see you back old friend

Default Mystery solved...

I was running my electric RC8T today for the first time at the track. The first qualifyer I lost an upper left front hinge pin after lap 3....2nd qualifier I didnt lose a hinge pin...the Main I lost a upper right front hinge pin GAME OVER......I looked at it and was like how in the hell is the hinge pin coming out and both bushings are intact and there aint nothing broke!!!

I thought it was because the battery is a 6500 MaH monster and it is heavy....blah blah blah....

Ok reasoning kicked in....has to be flexing a lot to allow the pin to David Copperfield out........see pic below.....FML, I guess I forgot to put that bolt in..... live & learn
