Default Has anyone went to a different buggy cause of lack of parts?

Im just wondering if anyone has left a manufacturer of a certain buggy even though they liked it because of lack of parts/hop ups because of it? If so what buggy manufacturer has the most hop ups for there buggy? At my track it seems team associated. And team losi have more parts available .....im running a dnx408 atm,,if you had the cash would you switch?

I switched from Losi to Xray, back to Losi and then to JQ before finally going back to Losi. Losi parts are everywhere, the standard and Adam Drake setups work everywhere, so many people have them, and it's one of the most durable on the market.

Default It depends

It's important to have replacement parts from the brand of car, but hop up parts aren't important if you have a good car....the cars that have tons of hop ups because of problems with the oem parts end up being money pits....

Yes. I switched from the TQ SX8 to the RC8 for that very reason. I love the TQ , dialed oht of the box and doesnt need anything, but getting psrts was becoming a challenge

The RC8 is just easy to.find parts for

Lack of spares would be something that would make me switch brands, as would lack of support and reliability.

Lack of hopups....are you serious? Hopups are not really needed, unless they are to address a weakness.

If you want an RC to hop up....go buy your self a Savage or something!

I also run a durango though it's an SCT, but I think I know where you are coming from. I have just taken the approach that I will have to order my parts from the internet. I did not let that change my decision in the vehicle. I like the durango a lot, but it's all internet parts support for me. If I can post on this forum, then I can just as easy order my parts.

Same with Serpent really. Ive been lucky but seems like every order I make something is out of stock.
Theres also a million optionparts and some that is needed, so yea its kind of a moneysink.

Well see though, I like the car even if its expensive to run so Ill have to evaluate it during the indoor season to see if its worth it. Otheriwse Ill prob go to Losi or back to Kyosho.

I swapped for a lack of parts as well. The best advise anyone can give you regarding this is to go to your local LHS, or whever you race at, and see what parts are available. Nothing is more frustrating than waiting 2-3 days for a simple part that no one but a-main has.

Who wouldn't like to just head on down the street to get any part you eed for your ride.

Sadly tho. Living in Denmark does not give you that option. There are only a handfull of well suplied retailers, and even though I live in the second largest city in the country, the only retailer is one who caters to newbies and "drop in" costumers. I couldn't even get a 15 tooth cluchbell last time I was there.

So internet has been my saviour, and when everything need to be ordered online, you can choose a bit more freely. Had my LHS had a full stock of Losi, Hong Nor or Mugen parts, I would have chosen that brand in a second.
Now I run the DNX408 because i dig the layout and performance, and it's just as hard to get parts for as any other brand. At least for me...

But in regards to the title, I would suspect any Team Magic driver did just that
