Hey, if anyone get a camera near one of these beasts, see if you can get a close up of the "NEW" rear hubs. Really interested in what they exactly look like.

Are you limited to only using Losi tires with the new axles? It would be a pain to not be able to swap tires between the MF2 and the AD2.

If it turns out that you can't swap the wheels between the AD2 & MF2, perhaps you could fit the quick change system to the AD2 and hey presto everthing should then swap.

I can totally see it....we've been buzzin' about a new NT from losi and what it may entail and I can totally see aaron, sitting in front of the computer screen laughing hystarically while at the same time he's building his own.

Actually..I don't have my new "kit" yet.

Man..I got more e-mails about the AD2 last night than I've EVER had in one single day...hahahaha

Most of the plastic pieces are different. Some things, like the shock towers, battery box, etc. have been beefed up for more durability. The front and rear arms and hubs have been changed geometrically, and now feature VLA capability and more tuning options.

The tranny is the same as the old truck, but the dogbones and axles are different. The rear hubs are aluminum, with a vertical ballstud, and a much larger hub bearing.

The front and rear rims are the same; the insert you place in the middle of the rim is what decides whether it fits on the front or the rear. I'm not sure which axles made the production truck but the stuff we were running pre-production used the old wheels. And both the front and rear feature QUICK-CHANGE AXLES. Forget NASCAR..this is all F1-style. Four tires and a tank of fuel in under ten seconds..

Get ready for what's DEFINITELY the next level in gas truck racing...bring on the Nationals

That quick change rear wheel thing is going to bring a whole new level of pit decisions to the table....if a track is really abrassive, an elongated pit stop mid race for frest rear shoes and a renewal of traction is really going to set this car apart from the rest. When everyone else is fading in traction and what not, you now have the option of new tires within a few seconds! Again, thats pretty bad a$$!

Looks great to me. Does anyone know if losi patented the quick change thing? That would give losi guys a big advantage over ae guys.
