Default Best wings?

Please put in your thoughts and what kinds of surfaces you found them to be the best on?

I like Buffalo wings on fries.....oh wait.

Only ever tried Losi stock wing and Himoto high downforce one, not good enough to tell a difference.

I can tell when the wing isn't there.

Default Racers Edge

The racers edge wing is 6 dollars and really lasts a long time... It works on dirt surfaces......

JConcepts wings are my favorite. They last a long time and the handling of the car is improved. I run AE cars and the stock wing has so much downforce it can cause a high speed push. The JConcepts wing takes away the push and when mounted forward also makes the car jump better.

have you ever tried messing with the wing angles, with the stock rc8t wing ?
your not kidding though the stock wing with the stock settings has a lot of downforce and it does cause some push espially in a "S" turn.

i think i try to mess with the wing angles first and see how it jumps and handles .

I love the MP9 wing, seems to work great on my MP9 TKI2.

On a side note, the MP9 stock wing is actually not ROAR legal out of the package. We all had to trim the front of the side plates at the ROAR Nats because they are "too long". The rule states 90.7mm - if you take a close look at this photo:

http://gallery.neobuggy.net/2011Race...709990_RtxqPdw

you can actually see on the front of the wing where part of the upgrade logo is cutoff. Not to sidetrack the thread, just thought it was interesting...

I have broke most mfg wings. All wings break at some point. The Losi wings seem to take a real beating and do a good job on the back of the buggy. I usually stick with whatever stock wing is on the kit. Afterall it was designed for the kit so it should work best.

The Pro-Line high down force wing is very strong and provides allot of down force (rear traction) if needed.

We have not had good luck at all with the Pro-Line wing..In fact they seem to break at the same odd spot about every time..I even called the company and just gave them a heads up, just to provide them some input, that there may be something wrong with their tooling. I continued to use them until we found a wing that had good downforce and was durable...VP Pro makes a GREAT wing. Great downforce, buggy seems to jump more level and extremely durable. I can't drive worth a damn and mostly contend for best crash and the VP Pro looks like new after weeks of serious torture...

Whatever is available when I need one (usually a Mugen). The Jconcepts wings are nice but heavy and the edges are really sharp. I like the old, flat Proline wings. They're tough and look decent.
