Thinking of getting a Mugen mbx6... Got ant thoughts on it???
 

I'm looking for a good kit to buy and was looking at the mbx6. I really don't know much about buggys but want to learn it all. Any help would help. Also wondering what motor would be good. I'm looking at the alpha 7+2 port. Or electronics, I have a jr 9100t would that work??? I really need help it's my first buggy. Thanks...:tire:

nothing wrong with the mugens, very good quality cars. alphas are awesome too. i run a a872 9 port in my truggy...more then enough grunt.

The mbx6 is a great car. I run one n love it. If this is your first buggy the best advice I could give u is to read n research as much as posable on said car u decide on. Also buy a easy to tune engine like an OS or something someone local has experience with n is willing to help u if u buy one, engine team guy maybe. The Jr servo u mentioned will work but IMO there are better options avaiable for sure. I like the KO stuff myself. I had a lot of bad luck yrs ago with JR, but I will say they have excellent CS. I know cause out of the 10-12 I had 5-6 of them would always be there for repair. Lol.

+1 on the Mugen MBX6. Great buggy with a design that's easy to work on. Also good advice on the engine. I'd recommend something like a Nova NR21b (least expensive 3-port). The MBX6 is very light and it doesn't take a big motor to move it very well.

If you're new to nitro you'll want to spend less on those 1st engine or two until you're comfortable with it. The lower end engines from Novarossi are just as durable as the higher end ones (Nova's are know for durability) and should have a wider tuning window so it'll be easier to keep tuned.

Mugen is very frendly car in work with. I drive it for 2yrs and love it. A lot of steering, great suspension and very durability. I have Novarossi p5xlt on it nad love it too. Engine is plenty of power and easy to tune.

It's the perfect setup for performance and reliability....Mugen MBX-6-Novarossi P5 dang man dang....

Great cars, very strong and easy to drive. JR servos are a tight fit in the radio tray but they fit. Also a good cheap engine combo is alpha, go, argus, werks.

great buggy! and the Alpha A872 is a nice engine (i have one), but there are plenty of other great engines also. Arrow, Werks, Nova ETC.

Aside from shock springs I don't find this to be at all true.
