Tag - They aren't parallel...very, VERY few cars will have parallel dogbones and suspension arms.

I really have no idea what to start as far as mm of pre-load because it varies. Set aside a few practice runs one day to mess with your pre-load collars and get a feel for what changes do.

Doug D - I haven't heard of a conversion kit, but it's possible. The "Pro" kit will basically be the original buggy with an added bag in it.

macnkitty - The original plan was a mid-December release, but I haven't heard of any updates to that.

I have run the Airtronics 358's since I started in RC, great servos. I was in a jam one time and needed a servo and could only find the JR8800S. The 8800 was quite a bit faster then the 358's and holding power was not a problem at all. I too was concerned about the torque of only 105. JR also has a 3 year warranty where Airtronics is only 90 days. I have the JR9000s I get to try this weekend. So far I am not going back!

you wont go wrong with JR or futaba as i have good experience with them, they can take a lot of beating that 1/8 racing put on them as a steering servo. while airtroncis is good and maybe it's just an isolated incidence but i have gone through a few 258,358 over the years. they are perfect at the beggining but after a while i found they started to develop slight play , no it's not the servo horn as i have tested on a new one as well...dont get me wrong airtronics makes some good servos but that just my experience.

to take off the hard coating, try letting them soak in UNDILUTED simple green.

I just found out recently that JR doesn't do a very good job of honoring their warranty. I had a JR RS300 reciever for 6 months and it went out on me. Jr would not back it up. The thing hadn't even been on the market for more than a year. I was disappointed.
A nice thing about Airtronics is that they will service the servos outside of warranty at a reasonable cost.

I have other JR components that have lasted well. I was just a bit chafed that they wouldn't warranty a reciever that didn't make it through a year of use.

You can take off the hard annodising but the color that you change to won't be nearly as hard and durable.
