The only thing that i hate about this car is the foams the tires come with and the Eclip hinge pins. I bought some Panther foams and captured hinge pins and never looked back.

I also like the captured hinge pin, but the rear hub pin bent. So when I built my second jammin I kinda made my own captured hinge pins by dremeling the pins to be flush on the a-arm. I then drilled a small hole in the a-arm next to the pin and put in a small screw, so the head off the screw was against the pin, this was done on each side. Its like the Xray hinge pins and it works real well, and it cost nothing to do.
Waldron has been at the Silver State race which ended Sunday.

I have a TOP P5 and had/have problems with the engine mounts that came in my kit. Once snugged to the engine they flair out. I put a shim between the mounting flange and the mount which helped. No problems with gear mesh but it's still in the back of mind.

I was getting ready to order the one piece engine mount when I spotted that 2 page ad in one of the more recent issues of Xtreme, I believe. There is a picture of 'stock' engine mounts without a groove to capture a locknut. The design is similar to the type used on a NT Drake kit. Is this a running change to the part? Does anyone know if it's the same part #? Sure sounds a lot cheaper than the 1 piece mount.

are you referring to the Hyper 7 2 page ad? Part # 19717? (page 38 in Xtreme Apr 05 issue)

They look interesting, however I purchased the one piece mount and I can honestly say what a breeze it is to set mesh and that thing looks much more sturdy and less prone to tweak then the 2 piece mounts.

Just my .02 cents.

I Have a Rex P5 and have the same Problem I talked to Ofna yesterday and they said that the Novarossi crankcase is square and the jammin mounts were not made to fit the P5's or the 421 Novarossi motors. They told me i would have to get the One piece Motor mount to fix this problem, Hope this helps.

the stock motor mounts are garbage!!
I have the one piece motor mount and it works awsome. I run it on my new Jammin. I have two Jammins and I practice with the old one. I thought at first the problem was with the Nova case being bigger but it is not, the stock mounts just suck.
I was running today with the stock mounts and a sports work motor and the mounts loosened. Now the clutch bell is gone and so is the spur gear. I called Ofna and they said the updated ones will be out in a couple weeks and they would post it on there site. In the mean time I have to spend around $50 for a new bell and spur. Then buy the new mounts.
