Look at the Nova 21bf if you can spend a bit more.
I had a friend that started with the 21bf and had no problems with it.
if not I would think an SH 21 would be a better option
not as long of a life span but they run good.

Hey Scott
What can you tell me about the Jammin 21 engine. How does it compare to the OS and RS5. Runtime, powerband, bottom, mid, top and also what pipe works well.
I'm thinking of getting one for my arsenal.
Thanks

Runtime is the only downside but that could be corrected to a degree with my finger.

I have tried the JP1, 2 and 3 and I liked the JP1 the best and a little behind, mainly for longer tracks would be the JP3. I did get a 7mm carb restrictor for it but I never did run the engine with it so I can't comment on power or fuel consumption with that. With the stock 8mm restrictor in I think I was actually a little undergeared for my engine running the stock spur with a 13t bell. There wasn't anything in any of our club or series races that could pull on me down the straight, or running against some big boys. The engine is plenty strong as has lot's of snap as well.

I don't think you'll be disappointed in it.

Jerseyboy-I'm 4.5 gallons deep on my Jammin .21. I run it with a jp-1 as Gary Guest recommended.-since the engine has plenty of top end he said. My run times did seem low. I just put a modified after market head on.....damn! It really woke the engine up and now I have 1/8 tank left after a 6 min race. With the added power I also jumped up to a 14t clutch bell, hopefully calming the torque down a bit. I'll see what my lap times are this weekend.

What after market head did you use? I am running mine with the MIP Lite Clutch setup and JP2 pipe. I am getting around 6 to 7 minutes of run time.

Thanks,

Also I see OFNA has officially released the Big Bore shocks for the buggy and truggy. I can't wait to try these shocks.

8/30 - Jammin Super Big Bore 16mm

Jammin Products has finished development of the new Super Big Bore 16mm shocks for the Jammin 1/8th line of Buggies and Truggies. The design allows the shock to be fit to either the buggy or truggy by just utilizing different shock ends. Many new features have been included in this design. See the below press release from Chad Bradley.

The new shocks should be available by the end of September.

Yeah, I imagine with the addition of the shocks and probably some other minor massages, the x2cr wont be far away. The head I'm running is a Nova head which i modified on my metal lathe because it was a tank. I did some machining and got it to 84 grams(same as a stock Jammin but about 3mm lower in height). There is 15 min mains today. I'm gonna try to gas up only once...so 7.5 min. We'll see!

I hear the only change will be the addition of the new shocks.

Really what else needs to be changed?

I raced my Jammin X1 CR at Rivercity raceway for the Pro series state finals in Illinois. I ran my first qualifier and I stripped a clutch bell a little more than half way through. I got it fixed and ran my whole second qualifier and it was great everywhere but the turns and my third qualifier I popped the end off the turnbuckle. I'm just wondering a good set-up to get it to pivot right around. Part of it might have been the servo (Hitec 645 Mg) but I'm not sure. I was so mad at my Jammin I switched to my Mugen but didn't get it done in time for my main

Thanks
Gary
