So, has there been any talk about Jammin Producing an updated car, or even a new design? I know If they were, I'd probably have seen Taylor james driving it by now. I just know that this car has been out almost 3 years now, and with competition getting thicker every day, I think it's about time a new one!

I think they haven't because they are updating and releasing new parts all the time. I could see them selling it a whole updated car or maybe an updated conversion kit that would have all the new parts for current X1 owners.

Do you really need to make the car better? The car is still one of the fastest out there. I would like to see minor changes but nothing to dramatic.

Kyosho has been doing this with their buggies for a long time. the 777 series in particular.

There is nothing wrong with the current platform. Chad, Taylor, Gary Guest and Matt Gosch were all running the BIG bore shocks (similar to Losi) at the ROAR Nats. Shorter arms with a wider pivot point. Chad ran the current car at the 2006 Worlds, I can't see them running the same one at the 08 Worlds. Kyosho and Mugen have both stated that they are coming out with a new car. It would be nice if they'd offer a retrofit kit for all of us, but by the time the new kit comes out, a majority of us will need a new one anyways.

Here are some pics Mike Czech took at the Nats:

Thanks ... that is what I was afraid of.

So what should I go to? My manual shows a "stud" that comes up out of the hub and a nut on it. Is that the way to go? Or is there an aftermarket part I should look at?

Thanks

Panther , did you see this car in person? Looks like it's got different shock towers, shorter arms, and different shocks. Just wondering if you noticed any other differences?

The pictures were taken by Mike Czech.

And everything looks smaller because the shocks are ginormous!

your gonna have to go back to the jammin hub that works with the king pin (stud)....the hubs you have now doent work with king pins, cause there is no notch on the inside of the hub for the king pin to fit into....i use the king headz cnc steering hubs and have had no problems what so ever, and they are a bit cheaper than the jammin cnc hubs...

Has anyone one here drilled the 7th hole in their rear shock tower?

Also, does it really make that big of difference?

Thanks,

Thanks,

I run the King Headz tower, and it already has the hole. I like it, and that's where I will usually run it. But like anything it 's not always the best spot, depending on track and track conditions.
