Im testing some changes on my jammin buggy, specially things where i dont ever messed before, so here is a question, if i dont change anything else, which performance changes i could wait if i change this parameter ? (always used the # 1 hole) :
if i understand you correctly, you want to know what that adjustment does? well, from what i recollect, it changes your roll center. with the #2 hole (what i use) your roll center will be higher, thus you are more prone to traction rolling.

If you are traction rolling then you are getting more traction.
You just have to set the ride hide to compensate a bit and tighten the sway bars.

Most set ups use hole 1.

thanks guys,
If you look at the Setup sheets on the Jammin' website, just about every team driver uses the #2 hole. Even on different tracks, they still use hole #2.
Check out jamminproducts.com They have setup sheets for different track sizes and conditions.

I just made the switch from the eight buggy to the jammin X1 and am very , very happy with my decision!.... The buggy handles great and I felt way more comfortable with the jammin...... lap times are awesome and consistant!

That's interesting cause i thought the Losi 8ight looked alright.
I'll be staying in the Hong Nor Camp for sure.
Could have bought an X-Ray XB8TQ with about $700 worth of spares for $500 but passed it up.
I didn't want to get tempted into driving it.
Love my Hong Nor X1-CR FTE too much!

Hi Tabushi,
The different holes change the Rear Roll Center setting.

(#2) Lower hole = High Roll Center
  • Increases on-power steering
  • decreases traction under braking
  • Use to avoid traction rolling at corner entry
  • Use under low traction conditions
(#1) Upper hole = Lower Roll Center
  • Decreases rear traction
  • Use to avoid traction rolling mid-corner and corner exit
The Roll center is also affected depending on which inner hole you mount the rear upper suspension link. the lower you mount the link on the shock tower the higher the roll center setting becomes.

While on this topic, the Front Roll Center can be adjusted depending on which of the 3 inner mounting holes you use for the upper arm.

The higher you mount the top arm the lower the Front Roll Center becomes.

Lower Front Roll Center =
  • Increased on-power steering
  • Buggy is less responsive
  • Better on smooth, high grip tracks with long sweeping corners
Higher Front Roll Center =
  • Decreases on-power steering
  • Buggy more responsive
  • Use in high grip conditions to prevent traction rolling
  • Use on tracks with quick direction changes (Chicanes)
I hope this helps guys.
