Talking X1-CR First again

Hey guys i am travelling in Thailand at the moment and i went to Ratchaburi for round 2 of the Buggy Party.
I got the chance to meet the great Surikan and soem other top drivers from Thailand.
Everyone here is so helpful and friendly that they really make you feel welcome.
Once again the Hong Nor X1-CR FTE wins with one of the Pattaya RC Team taking first place.
Unfortunately Surikan had engine trouble and didn't finish in the top 5 but he was in the top 2 until then.
The Team Hong Thailand guys were great also helping me with parts and set ups.
Unfrotunately i broke the top shock bolt and then the rear camber link bolt as the track was very rough and hard on your buggy.
I also shattered the front carbon support plate.
I ended up coming 9th in the C Final but i had qualified 1st in C and was blitzuing them until i started breaking my Buggy.
I think i was driving too fast for the rough track.
The track surface is made of grey clay and never been watered ever i don't think.
If only the owner understood the physics of clay (sticky when wet, crumbles when dry) the track would be twice as good.
You can find more info here although it is in Thai (pretty pictures though ) http://teamrcmania.com/
Enjoy...

i like the avatar too.

about the gears, are these just hardened versions of the stock gears? my diff gears are holding up very well, and they do not show any signs of wear so far. but i guess people still want to bulletproof their drivetrains.

Hi guys, I used to race years ago and have now decided to get back into the sport, once bitten you can never stay away for too long

Just before Xmas I bought myself an X1CR and have found it to be easy to setup and drive. I am however a little concerned at the rapid wear rate on both the front universal joint and also the rear inner suspension mount (the one you replace when changing the antisquat setting) are the rest of you having the same types of issues??

Since owning the car I have raced it at my local track only once. this happened to be the 1st round of our Summer club champs. It performed very well and I got lucky coming away with a win in the A-main by 2 laps.

I have also posted some footage of a race meeting I went to a couple of weeks ago at a club about 2 Hours away, it was very close racing which was great to be apart of. They ran a 20min A-Main which I was leading until the 15 minute mark when my car flamed out during the final pit stop, I lost 1.5 laps in time and still managed to come second.

My car is the one with white/yellow on the front and blue one the rear, yellow wheels and black wing. (Same as the Avator and the Pics atached)
I hope you like the footage.
