im gonna try the JP3 this end of month... so feedback? im gonna use in truggy too.
Hi jfc_tech
I ve run .28 engines in my truggy from the start. In My experience its not worth it if you gonna race.
.28 do not have the top end as a good 21. They also wear your outdrives and unis. The low end power is too explosive and it make your Truggy setup difficult. You will turn faster laptimes with a 21. The main thing is the fuel consumption.

If you want to use a 28 then I recommend a JP2 pipe. This will tame the bottom in favour of the midrange. The top end will be abit better.
If you look at dyno printouts of most 28's you'll see that the power drops off the higher you move in the rpm range. The torque is high at low rpm's.
The STS engine I believe are awesome and maybe this 28 is an exception.
Also dial in some throttle curve on your remote this will also help make the truck more controllable.(approx -50% to start)
Also use a 15T clutch bell, this will give you better speed. Downside is you will use new clutches every race meeting.

Ive added some pics of my truggy ready for battle 2007.

Hello everyone, just joined the boards figured I would say hello to my Fellow Jammin' racers.... My current setups are Jammin X1-CR Pro kit, no motor yet, actually UPS just delivered it 15 minutes ago, and a Jammin' X1-CRT with RB WS7 2 and Jammin' JP-3 pipe... Spektrum DX 3.0, so far so good with all my products, and I am extremely happy with my choice to go with Jammin'. Hope to talk to everyone in here more.
Welcome Brandon
Many racers dont like a WS7 in a truggy as they feel it lacks the bottom end power for a truggy.(as truggy is heavier than buggy) However Ive seen then CRT at our Nationals with a WS7 and the CRT beat Mugen trucks with Ninja B01 and Kyosho Trucks etc so yes you can make it work. You gonna have to use later engaging clutches and adapt your drive style to suite. I would use a bottom end pipe in the Truggy with the WS7. JP1 if you on a budget. Else use the Proper RB 2045 pipe with long header. This pipe is designed for this engine and enhances the bottom end without sacrificing the top end. I see you wanna do it right first time.
The Jammin Cars is good strong qaulity, the only problems are premature wear on the universals. Other than that you can stand your man in battle with any enemy.

Hey thanks for all the kind words... As far as the JP3 goes, I noticed a lil more Top end power, and a lil lack of low end.... But in Florida offroad tracks aren't known for tight sweepers. Long stretches, and big gaps is what we're known for... So far the setup is working wonderfully for me, i just picked up my other ws7 3 yesterday, and I'm gonna use my old jp-2 pipe in the buggy, as my buddy told me that my buggy would scream with this combination, as long as I tune it the same as my truggy. Hopefully I can get everything broken in and together and race the Losi Nationals in Tampa end of January. Would be nice to Rep Jammin' at some other makers race.

Ok Guys some good news.
I had my first A-main win. Also won the truggy a-main.
Both cars are powered by Gotech 21 7ports. No problems except one flame out in the mains with my buggy. Still managed the first place. This was first race with these engines and I had my fastest laptimes to date.

My truggy was awesome. I was putting up faster laptimes than with the buggy. I must say my truggy was dialled. I was competing against Mugen and Kyosho truggy.
In the buggy race it was Mugen MBX5r , Losi 8, Hyper 8's, GS storm etc.

So X1 rules supreme

I easily managed 71/2 fuel stoppers with the buggy. I get over 9min racing on a tank which gives me plenty of leeway for fuel stoppers.

Hope it went well with you guys too.
