For me itís just something new. Iíve been racing the X1 for a year now and Iíve had pretty good success with it. No complaints really, but Iím starting to itch for something new. My buggy before the Jammin was an MBX and now the new Mugen R has really got my eye. So Iím thinking that if this is an affordable change I may try it out for a few months rather than drop $600 on a new kit. So yeah, personal preference I guess.

Actually Macnkitty it might be an advantage for some. With the pillow ball front comes whats called reactive or active caster.

I just explained this to somene else so here is a copy & paste.

Mike my understanding of reactive caster is this. When you lift and or
apply the breakes going into a corner the weight of the car will
transfer to the front and the nose will drop. While it is doing this the
caster angle will drop giving you a breif moment of having less caster
there for letting you get into the corner a little faster. Then it does
the oppsit coming out. I am sure you have always heard that less caster
gives you more turn in and having more caster is better coming out. With
the C-hubs you can't do this as the caster is fixed. With the pillow
ball hub the caster changes going in and coming out. It's a pretty cool
feature on the 1/12

Tabushi well done on your result. Nice track you raced on. Cute daughter. She looks like daddies doll.

I will be getting this kit probably next week or so. Its not very pricey. Around $69.
I am sceptical to try it out as I have seen other cars that use PBS that the balls do pop out. The Mugen seems to be doing ok.
Maybe it will make the X1 handle abit better due to the caster changing. Also
its a simpler front suspension. The movement should be better less friction.

Guys I had a thought. I know what Tabushi looks like. How about all you X1 drivers post a pic with driver and buggy. I would like to see all you ugly mugs.

I'm glad to hear they are keeping the price reasonable. I was thinking that if it was about $50-60 I'll probably give it a try. Over $100 and forget about it. So are you getting a pre-production version or something? It kind of sounds like this isn't really being released to the masses yet.
