Savage I am not to sure about that! Look at all the RC manufactures that have made running changes to the location of items on the chassis. The new K-car is a perfect example of this. They moved the engine back for better weight distribution and more rear bite on the SP2 but it was only about 2mm. There have been lots of situations like this with most all manufactures. I'm not saying less weight is bad or good. I'm only stating that less weight is not always better. There are lots of top drivers that are adding weight front or rear to get good ballance. I will admit I am one to go over board with car prep but + or - a little weight here of there does make a differance even in offroad and in onroad it is a must!

Here is a pic of my 1/12th scale car from last winter. Yes the car is ballancing on a pin point!

I know I'm nuts!

Let me rephrase that: Most average racers wouldn't notice something like that. I noticed a difference immediately when I changed from NiMh to LiPo in my RRR, but the only difference I actually noticed in the Jammin was a slight lack of rear bite. On a loose track, most wouldn't notice this. You've definately got a point though.

Savage if you are loosing rear bite with less weight surely you can dial it out a bit with your set up?
Maybe take out some camber or loosen the rear sway bar a bit.
Worst case just add some weight to the rear
I've bought my LiPo now (cost a small fortune) so i better get my money's worth out of it.
I will probably run it in my CRT for our State Titles as thw whole truck is heavier anyway.
I wish i saw the 2700 mAh Pack before i bought it as i could have bought 2 2700 packs for half the price of 1 LiPo & Regulator

Default Servo's

just got my new x1-cr fte and was wondering what servo's are recomended for sterring and throttle. My 1st 1/8th scale buggy so i need some pointers.I have a hi-tech 5998tg for steering in my crt but that seems like it might be overkill for the buggy?I want something of good quality and not overkill.any recomendations are appreciated.

i have a Hitec 5625, and that's fine for me. cheap too. you want at least 130oz of torque for a buggy.

dido41: Is the ballcup or the actual linkage binding? If it's the ballcup, then rotate the link on the carburetor. Otherwise, you may need to post a picture to let us know what its doing.

Jammin: Airtronics 94358 is always a good choice. The 5998TG is decent, but I've had trouble with Hitec servos in the past. You can find a nice 358 with a heatsink case used for $75.00-$90.00. I'd suggest a 94758 on throttle.
