After 5 years racing 200mm onroad sedans and 4 months racing MT's now im jumping on the 1/8 Buggy wagon ... with a Factory Team X1 Jammin ...

Any special advice during building ? ... i suppose the buggy will hit my door in about a week or two ...

And about engines ... i will try a STS .21 Team Edition what you think about it ?

macnkitty2002 Jammin makes one also, here is a link

yamrace I use party ballons, have for about two years with no problems. You can usually get a bag of 100 in four different colors for about 3 bucks.

Tabushi here are some good build tips from Chad Bradly.

where can i get the steering brace from Jammin? how does it compare to the King Headz one? is it thicker? i also saw that 4mm steering rack, has anybody tried that yet, althought the stock one is perfectly fine.

i have a question about differentials. i have been using the basic setup for about 1/2 a year now, 5K/7K/2K. i want to get more steering, so do i go to a lower weight front diff oil? like 4K? and what happens when you change the center diff oil? thicker and lighter? what happens?
thanks in advance.

Mugen shock boots work perfectly. They're twice as thick as the Jammin once and a perfect length.

try 5/5/3 it will make your car feel more stable. also for more steering try a little more toe out and if you havent dremeled your arms and hubs do so to get more throw.

Also, run the No.1 (Or forwardmost) ackerman hole to get full steering throw. After you've done this and notched the arms, the steering knuckles should touch the blocks at full throw.

3,7,1 will give you a little more steering. It does this because the car will free up faster and rotate better in the corners. But there are better ways to get more steering. Post your complete setup and I will try to help.

Giong lighter in the center will make the car easier to drive. Going heavier in the center will put down more power over all.

Guys ... couple of questions :

1.- Do the Factory Team kit comes with air filter and fuel filter ?.

2.- The included diff oils are a good start our would be better with a 5-7-1 combination ?

thanks a lot for the info ...

It does come with the fuel filter, not sure about the air filter. If I were you, I'd start out with a 3-5-1 setup. Makes the car very neutral so you can adjust other things to get the car to respond the way you want.

I think they give you 1k, 3k, and 10k. that may be off though.
