I've seen a couple rear hubs break, but other than that the car has proved pretty tough as far as breakage. Keep checking your universals and outdrives for wear, that seems like it may be the only weak link on the car (and it should be getting fixed, if it isn't already).

Well the Crazynut brake kit works great!!! I even accidentally6 spilt some fuel on them and they still gripped like mad!!!! and never bound up.... btw: I never modified the brake cams like mentioned earlier in this thread to keep them from binding.....

I must not use the brakes often enough to have a problem with the stock setup? Haha!

Once you get the stock brakes to free up, they work good.

I agree the stock brakes worked great for me, even with the stock steel disks. They were kind of grabby though, since they were so freakin powerful! Softer fuel tubing/springs on linkage helps that though and an EPA adjustment.

well, i had a relatively successful day today with the X1. it performed flawlessly, however, even when it was injured. a guy t-boned me at the end of the straight, denting my JP-1 and bending the manifold. i took off the pipe and bent back the manifold, and the dent is not major enough to affect performance. but i couldn't help that problem. i also blew a front shock (let me remind you all that i still have the original Pro kit shocks, not the big bores). i don't know how that happened, since my track has no jumps. i probably just his one of the pipes in just the right spot. but my biggest problem was the brakes. i am using the stock quad setup, and i have to get rid of those things. they worked pretty good at the beginning of the day, but occasionally locked up like they usually do. however, later on they began to fade badly, and within the last 6 laps, i had absolutely no brakes. i am going to order the jammin fiber brakes tonight, and maybe the big bore shocks too.
