I believe the new top plate is mainly intended for the CRT. On the CRTthe carbon plate likes to shatter on hard frontal impacts.

talking about strength, seem that only the front bulkhead plate need very strong material like carbon fiber or T7075 alloy to absorb all the impact..
but for the servo tray and center diff mounting plate do you think it is a need, seem no impact at all on that place, maybe T6061 is just enough..

I wouldn't bother upgrading the radio tray, or the diff plate. Unless you want the bling factor of carbon fibre.

Check it out guys!! This last weekend was the Monster truck show and our club got to drive our Rc cars durring intermissions.. Well when they were setting up for the Moto X stunt show My Jammin decided to take a shot at the 55ft gap they set up for the stunt show..

After the first one the crowed went crazy and the announcer asked me to do it again.. The only RC that made it was my Jammin..

vid- http://centralvalleyrcclub.com/pages...89&forum_id=15

its a bad angle i know but we are working on getting the tape from the video company that taped the whole show..

tony montana - I don't think the shocks in the factory kits are the same from the 9.5...I'm almost positive that the new big bore shocks are new units.

micrors4guy - Thinner oil will indeed make the car smoother to drive, especially as the track gets rougher. Thicker oil will help the car drive out of the corners, and is advantageous on smoother tracks. For the most part, the team seems to be happy with 5-7-2 no matter the track condition, but thinner oil would be the way to go if the track got extremely rough.

arrgh - Laying the shock down will make the shock more progressive, while standing them up will make the shock more linear. I have always had the best luck with my shocks on the inside of the arms front and rear, with the shocks mounted in the middle hole on the upper row of the shock tower (again, front and rear).
