Well, I finally decided on and bought an engine....YAYYYYYY!!!!!!

I know it's an older engine, but I have heard good things about them in the past......

It's a Picco G1 xp-21 pro bv....... PARIS MODIFIED!!!!

I'm so excited, I can barely wait to finish moving and for the weather to warm up so I can break this beast in!!!!!

Default x1cr big bore shock question

Built and installed a set of Big bores on my x1cr and have a question. When I push the buggy down I have no rebound. I can take the shocks off and they have plenty of rebound when compressing them in my hand.

Any Ideas?

BP do the arms move freely with the shocks off the car? Do you have any preload on the shock springs?

Yes the arms move freely without the shocks. With the preload collars all the way down there is no rebound. I pulled the big bores back off and checked to make sure they were right and they were. I can take the springs off and push the shaft in and it comes all the way back out. I checked the hinge pins, they were ok. When I put the stock shocks back on I had plenty of rebound.
So I don't think it's the buggy.

Check the top of the shock where it connects to the shock tower. Sometimes if you tighten down the nut that holds the shock on it can bind up if tightened up too much.

Preload maxed out. no rebound. I think I might need to clean and polish my hingepins.
