Default New tires from Hudy.

Hudy just released these cool new tires. Check out the sweet design on the wheels...These babies are on rails! Literally

No im racing wednesday, Friday and Saturday and I'm getting my junk ready and thought the set-up tires looked kinda cool so thought I would have some fun.
Here's an interesting tidbit of information. Actual camber is not even close to the camber you measure with your wheels on. My car is set to -3 rear and -2 front with wheels and tires but with the set-up wheels it actually measures -5 rear and -4 front..Now I'm confused as hell

Those wheels and the Hudy setup station are a complete waste of money. I bought the 8th Setup station years ago, and i refuse to use it now. Plus, you never see pros using them before the race. Just get a set of wheels that are new/great shape, and adjust your setup on a flat board/glass cutting board.

A little test, do a setup with those wheel/setup station, then check it with actual wheels and tires. Every point you check will be off.

A friend and I had a long discussion about this today and the conclusion that we came to was that all the measurements we are taking without using a set up station or the set up tires are actually way off. The real figures are the ones you get with the station and the set up wheels. The dimensions we use are the ones we take with our little gauges on our set up boards. You may think you have -3 rear camber when measured with tires and wheels and your camber gauge, but when you put the metal set up wheels on and measure again your actual physical measurements are not even close to what you believe you are running. We termed it running measurements which obviously differ greatly from the actual measurements. No one is going to be running with -5 rear camber ( closer to -3 in running measurement) and in turn if you set your camber to -3 with the set up wheels you will really be at -1 or even 0 in your racing measurement making the entire process completely rediculous. I agree with you Big Ed, it's assinine and a complete waste of time.

One question, do you drive with the setup wheels or normal tires and wheels like the rest of us?

My camber measurements were all very close from actual wheel /tire to Hudys. Just one wheel was off. Those are a waste of $.....u are crazy for buying them
