It's basically all wrapped up. The split from Hobbico is done. The vehicles (buggy / truggy) are gone. The parts inventory that was sold out of Hobbico / Tower Hobbies was the last of it. There are no new parts being ordered. Only inventory on hand at various retailers around the world is what's left to be sold.

Through conversations with Steve, I've been told numerous times that he is still going to be involved in the RC hobby / industry, and is working on new products, but it will be in the form of engines, pipes, glow plugs, accessories, etc... for all brands. Extremely doubtful that there will ever be another O'Donnell race vehicle.

He's been focusing quite a bit of effort on the non-RC side of his business during 2011. I'm looking forward to new products throughout 2012.

Have you spoken to Steve about this?

I had a discussion with him a while back about a fellow racer that had some issues with his OD plugs. He wanted to speak to him and get some more info on the problem.

Unlike most of the vehicle components, all of the O'Donnell glow plugs are made in Ontario, California by O'Donnell Mfg. Quality control is a big focus for him....

Default Cool

Thanks for the tip. I just feel bad because I recommended things to carry in the hobby shop and so the owner bought several sheets thinking they would be discontinued and I've never had so many problems with plugs...I switched to the 99t's with good results...I also run the odonnell filters and the last few packages i got were soft and mushy and ripped easily....it's been difficult to support odonnell. No doubt Steve is the nicest guy I've talked to and has helped me more than ever expected, but it seems the few odonnell products I really liked, plugs, filters etc... have been good then bad....Now I'm stuck with all these plugs 97t that last one tank and 6-7 filter cages without filters to put in them...the few sets of 6 filter packages we have contain some discolored yellowed filters right next to new looking filters in the same package....

I feel like I'm back to paying 11 bucks a plug from novarossi...

to be fair the 99t plugs work great...I still don't think they last as long as the Nova plugs, so it's really not saving money....

I've had really good luck with the ODO plugs. Look forward to seeing them again.
There is room for quality aftermarket goodies and wish Steve the best.
