Default Losi 8ight 2.0 rod end alternatives?

it seems like almost every day i hit the track, i strip out my rod ends on my 8ight 2.0. they don't ever break, but it seems like they're just not tight enough where they thread into the turnbuckles. it usually only happens on one turnbuckle at a time, but it's rather frustrating anyway because i've never stripped out so many of them on any other car i've had. anyone else having this problem or know of an upgrade or way to fix it?

The problem is the turnbuckles, the first batches of 2.0's had turnbuckles with badly defined threads on the ends. They are not sharp enough to get a hold in the plastic.

Yeah the best way to fix the problem is get the lunsford or losi titanium turnbuckles or buy the 5mm turnbuckles and 5mm rod ends from the first losi 8ight and that will fix that problem.

i don't think they're from the first run, the buggy was purchased last year. i might try putting some gap filling CA in the ends.

ca in the rod end wont fix the problem, replace the rods and the rod ends as mentioned before and no more issues. my first 2.0 had the same issue.

i replaced the rod and ends the first time it happened, and that one and others have stripped again. looks like i might need to upgrade to lunsford to fix the problem or just keep fixing it every couple weeks.

The fix is very simple, get the 1.0 turnbuckles, they are the truggy size so u have to buy the 8.8 balls. Here's everything.

Ok, the reason u want what I posted is because the actual thread is bigger, every team driver has been doing this to get away from the links skipping teeth. If you want light ti pieces that r more expensive I no Lunsford use to make them the same 5 mm ends for the 1.0, the whole point is to get away from the small 4 mm thread, it also makes the car stronger and the balls don't wear out as easy as the smaller 6.8 mm balls. The whole package is far far better cause the 4.0mm ends in steel, aluminum or even ti from Losi or lunsford skip, no matter what it skips, Losi made there ti ones sharper n they still couldn't get it to stop, go to the old school 5 mm turnbuckles n problem is solved, only way to make them better is to see if someone still makes them ti, I think Lunsford did but idk if they still do. U don't wanna waist your money n stay with the small ones trust me.

Oddly enough, my 4mm org. 2.0 turnbuckles has never given me problems.

you do NOT want that. stick with the stock hinge pins. the titaniums hinge pins bend easy for some reason. just get the turn buckles

i never had any issues with mine either as far as pulling out. i did notice if i didnt replace the ends tho frequently i would change chamber. I did a test tho and didnt change them, worst that happened was i changed camber i never pulled one out. I went to the lundsford like a year ago and never had one issue after that.

yeah mine don't pull out of the ends, i'll just randomly get a lot of negative camber out of nowhere. guess i'll just deal with it, it's not a huge deal i just figured i'd see if there was a solution since i couldn't really find anything about it after searching google
