Default Losi tires

A couple quick questions... I am interested in trying the Losi tires out. Right now I run AKA but just always wanting to try something different. So for those of you that run Losi tires, I ways looking on Amain and I see (for example) the kingpins and the kingpin G2. So what is the difference between the regular tires and the G2.
Also it says "note" Losi tires will only work with Losi rims. Is this true. I have a lot of AKA rims so will the losimtires fit on the AKA rims.
Lastly anyone know where I can buy them tire only, no foam?
Thanks

Steve as far as tire to rim isn't true. I have some losi tires on Pro-Line rims. They seem to fit like any other tire to a rim.

The reason for that discaimer is that Losi was the first company to switch
over to the large diameter rims. So yes they do fit on the newer PL or
AKA but if you have any of the old smaller rims they will not fit. As far
as I know AKA never made any of the old style rims but there are still
a few sets of Panther,PLs and others still floating around.

G2 is for generation two. There updated over the regular tires. And the disclaimer is still effective for truggy tires. Losi's mounting bead is a bit wider then others. I had to stuff the bead in a set of aka rims.

Great tires tho.

The G2 is a little different down the center, if they are the same price go with the g2.
My son ran them last weekend at the JConcepts race in Omaha on both truggy and buggy and dominated both classes. He ran the green compound and they both look almost new after 45 minutes. (Alex has some really good clay there)

I was just ordered a few sets of buggy treads, I like the how they are $2.50 cheaper per pair then aka's. Can't complain With that.
