Hard to medium compound AKA tires
I have never ran anything other than soft or super soft compound tires, is it worth picking up some sets of mediums or hard compound tires?

The hardest I would run at Cape Fear would be Mediums like everyone has said, but on those 100+ days....it might be worth a set of hards just to try them out. I have a new set in my pit box....have yet found a temp to run them though. They are more like knobby hockey pucks on rims. lol
Super Softs are awesome, but they wear really fast....so for our track Peyton I would stick to soft and medium compound for sure.

On some hard packed but dusty tracks hard compounds might work VERY well! I've experienced it few times with Proline XTR Revolver tires! Basically the pins start working like studs on snow or ice. At least it feels like that. When you run medium or soft tires on the same track, you get 0 wear which shows the tire isn't working.
