Default Reedy 121 VR engine questions

I just picked up a Reedy 121 VR engine for my truggy and had a couple quick questions if anyone can provide any tips.

First off, the guy I bought it from sealed the carb in backwards (slider facing left). What works best to remove the sealant after I pull it to fix that? And doe these engines need the sealant.

Second, any recommendations on pipe? It looks like most people are getting the Reedy 2035 tuned pipe with this engine.

Last, it says it has a turbo head, but came without a plug. Any recommendations on plugs that work well.

Depend on what kind of sealant was used,

RTV usually rubs off fairly easy, just make sure to keep that stuff out of the motor.

Pipe? 2035 is the ticket. The 2039 isn't bad either.

Do you need to seal the motor? Probably not, but it's something that many people do and can help the motor run better.

Plugs? OS P3 or P4's work well. Never tried the Reedy ones, but I would guess those should work well too.

2035, OD97T plug, no sealant. The cooler plug (97T) runs better than the hot (P3) imo.

Thanks. Now to just get my LHS to start stocking some more AE parts so I don't have to wait a week everytime I want/need to buy something.

2039 tuned pipe in my RC8T, I like it

OD97T glow plug and you don't need any sealant. Runs great as it is
