Default 808 or MP9

New to all this guys.
Currently have the option of buying either a MP9, or a 808 which can be supplied in the 09, or 10 spec, both buggys are the same price.
Now, I know they are both top buggys and more than capable and parts support for both are not an issue.

I know parts are perhaps a little bit more expensive on the Kyosho, but both from my research seem to be pretty tough buggys, and both come with some spares of the usual basic parts.

Is there anything that puts either of these as a better option that the other?
Or should I just flip a coin and go with which ever it lands on?

Both buggies are very good and tuff.If you go with xray,go with the new 2011 spec for sure.

Flip a coin.

Between the two the MP9 can be more forgiving and easier to drive.

The 808's seem to drive like an unforgiving Losi platform.

My pick between them is the MP9.

Obviously my pick would be Xray. I love the build quality and they way they handle.
Honestly though, you can't go wrong with either one. Both outstanding platforms. I'd take whatever one is in the best condition.

I would have to disagree on the unforgiving part of your response. The 808 can be setup on the edge or very very stable.I also dont think it drives anything like the losi, the 808 is way more planted in the rear even when setup on the edge.Im not trying to flame you at all but just trying to put my $.2 in.

The mp9 is an awsome ride for sure and cant go wrong with either one.Pick the one you can get parts for the easiest, even though the 808 hardly ever uses spares.
