Default Changing up battery box w/reciever box on D8 and D8T

I was wondering if anyone has put thier reciever in the battery box and the battery in the reciever box on a Hot Bodies D8 and D8T? I was told I could put a Reedy 2100mAH LiPo reciever pack in this way so the pack would fit properly. I don't think that the weight distribution would be affected that badly as the LiPo is about the same weight as the reciever and the wires but how would you mount the antenna? Just want to see if anyone has done this and if they could explain or post up pictures of how they modded the boxes for this change.

Thanks,
Philip Webb

i got a 2300 in the back box. for the antenna i used a fuel tank nipple, threaded into the front lid, then about a 1/2 inch of fuel tubing then the antenna tube. looks clean and tube flexes and never breaks.

That sounds really good, thanks alot. Did you find the weight distribution changed? if so did it change the handling characteristics? Do you happen to have pics you could send me because I'm really interested to see how you did it. I can see how but I just want to see exactly how you did it. And what brand of battery did you use?

Thanks

yup, had to cut out the bottom of the rear box, with the bottom off and the recess in the chassis it has enough room.
