Baha, needs lots of room to play, and is very cool. Buggy can run any where and you can bring to the track. Tough one I know, so why not get both?

If your planning to race and not put your home up for sale, BUGGY.

+1 workingman on alot of room a foootball field is almost enuff lol

The only thing you may need to remember is that a baja/5thscale is cost is much higher .Most of the time 2 an 3 times higher.thats every time you break something or just upgrade. Then compare bodies 10th/8th scale are like $20 to $30 dallors compared to $100 to $185 for a 5th scale.

then if you want to run with others or not .I know some areas have a few 5th scalers around .but more than likely you can find a track that you can run with 10+ people. so depends on what fun factor you are looking for.

I like both but this year is going to be a 5th scale more so than 8th .
just can not get enuff of that brrraaapp sound lol just me.lol

how about the third option of the SC. The drive shaft is like 150% beefier than either the baja or buggy, and that's not counting all the other upgrades

Baja's --

From what I've seen, most people are having to put a large amount of durability upgrades on them. I'm talking $500 - $800. That's just to keep them from breaking.

On a SC designed track (roller jumps and smooth), they do pretty good. But around here, most can only run on 1/8 tracks and it ain't pretty. 2wd and top heavy. IMO, they don't turn or jump very well on outdoor 1/8 tracks.

Just about everything besides the engine (many will change engine parts for more power). Transmission, clutch, drive line, arms, etc, etc.
