I had a tote full of tires get stolen before. Glad I was driving at the time, or am sure they would have gotten more. Tires are expensive, and I have never been able to rebuild my supply like I had before. 3 kids and a wife cuts into the rc money.

man, i feel for ya on the Loss...!!!!
but keep your eye out bound to show up!! can't even express how it is...had it happen to me a few years ago as well.

i know this may not help now? but in the long run,it may?
this is what we do we have a Video camera pointing in our "Pit Area"
but set off to the side someplace.
we race at a place called Revelation and the parking allows you to almost "Back-Up" close to your pits, so we set the camera inside.
keeps a "Silent-Eye" on the pits

bout 2 years ago, we were at another track, was about a year and a half after some of mine got ripped off...
well we had the video on, and guess what we caugt the Theiving bastard! wont go into detail! but have to say we did not call the cops...and i did get my stuff back the "Same Night"

as for Equipment, i have a buddy that makes "Bodies"
let me know when you get rolling,we'll send you some bodies on the House......
and we have a Graphics company and we'll send some cool stuff for the new ride..
i know not much? but hope it can help a little down the road....

I am always more concerned about my gear stolen at a big race than a local club race, it just doesn't look out of place when you notice someone picking up a buggy and radio and walking away (unless your pitting next to the guy and know better) , SECURITY CAMERA'S in pit area should be mandatory at any large event. There is just too much money sitting around in pit area. Most of the time when you make a heat run, the guy who could watch your stuff is probably your pit guy track side. Nothing worse than a LOW-LIFE thief. Sorry about your loss Nick.

Everything you guys have donated is so greatly appreciated!!! This is Nick's pit guy and close friend. I just text him and let him know. I took off early that night as he qualed better than me in truggy so he thinks it disappeared around the time he was washing truggy tires. I've been betting myself up about it I should have staid!
Thank you I just can't bring myself to believe that it was a racer that was the thief.I sure hope not!!!

I'm glad to know that you'll enjoy the Hara D8 I sold to Travis. Sorry that you had a bad experience but at least you got good friends to see you through!

Yeah, I was being facetious lol. I'm OCD about my RC gear, I can't imagine getting ripped off, not only would I have no money to replace it, but I'd probably go to prison for killing the nerd who took it. I wish I could donate, but my ve8 has nothing except stock, plastic hubs, etc./:

I should've just sent Nick my buggy, as it does not look like I am going to get to race this year.. LHS has decided to race the opposite weekends I have off.

Good Luck this year Nick, hope you kick some ass with that D8 and D8T..

So, looks like this story has a happy ending where the gentleman who had his stuff stolen got the majority replaced at least via donations? Good to hear.
