Default Is my Diff good or bad, need help please!!

Hey guys i was just reading other posts and i forgot how to check to see if ky diff is either good or bad on my xxx-nt truck 1/10th scale...i remember something having to spin the tires and if it was smooth that it needed to be replaced and if it was griddy then it was fine...or is it the other way around?? >.< im so confused....please help ...

So to do this would i just simply hold one wheel down and just turn the other one with my hand and feel if its good or not? Cause i dont wanna open up the diff if i dont have it :/ cause to me its a pain in the butt haha...

If you take the diff out of the tranny housing just hold the outdrives on the diff in each hand and twist if it feels gritty then replace and if it feels smooth it's good to go.
