Nitro buggy 2011
hey guys,
my new track has become nitro-only, so my electrics have got to go. I sold all my old nitro gear a long time ago, so i need to get back into it from being out of it for so long.
I've had a look at all the major manufacturers like traxxas and hpi, but i was just wondering what nitro buggy you would all recommend? I put 2011 in the title because i was wondering if there was anything new out
thanks a lot guys

I dont think I would use words like Traxxas, HPI, and Track in the same sentence unless you were talking Short Course.
8 scale buggy you cant go wrong with any of the newer kits. You should see what the other people are going to run and also check to see what parts your LHS stocks. It really blows chunks to have your race day end because you broke something and have to wait 3-7 days to get it online

1 vote for X-RAY 808. Pretty much non breakable car so you dont need spares. Though doo doo does happen in life.
The advice above is a good starting point. Get all the guys that are gonna go 1/8 scale & see what their gonna get. Sharing parts & set-up help is helpfull. Its also nice when local store has pretty hop up parts you can get when you want.

Just get a quality brand that is supported by your LHS.
I'm driving with Mugen since a year and I'm in love with the car. It handles very well and the quality is extremely high.
Xray, Kyosho and Mugen are top quality cars, but the Hot bodies D8 is a great car if you're on a budget.

thanks for the help,
i'm planning on buying an 8th scale buggy, didn't notice traxxas don't actually make one! I'll take the advice on board, i think i'll look at losi, associated, good makes like that.

I have drove all most all the Top cars made to day and all the cars are good cars you just need to find the car that fits you the best.
And for that you need to go to the track and talk to guys that have the cars watch how each car drives and how it looks on the track how it Jumps Lands and take curves and then see what the fast guys are running that helps when you get ready to get a set up the fast guys can help you get the car to hook up on the track you will be racing at.
