Default Can someone explain offset to me?

I have an 8T 2 and I know that the wheels are 0 offset, but what would be the outcome and issue with running a 1/2" offset?

your truck would be way too wide

the offset distance is the distance past the hub

What he said... 1/2 offset will extend the track width of your truck by 1/2 inch on each side. Truck will be way too wide.

Ok, so then can I get any 17mm 0 offset wheel to use or would it need to be a losi wheel or could I use the Proline Velocity wheel?

If I'm not mistaken those are the old style rims. There are several different size/styles of rims sold for truggies. What tires are mounting on these rims? You need a rim that fits the tires you're trying to use.
