I bought one of the Hudy boxes to try out with my buggy and I liked it so much I just bought another one for truggy. Small, light, powerful, high quality parts and high end material. Just got done breaking in two new motors with no problems. Hudy stuff speaks for itself....most of the time.

Glad someone else posted this as I was looking at this box or the venerable, very popular here, OFNA box.

Default Hudy Box

Been using mine for the past 3 months and i can say that there are no problems at all! Its a small, light and compact starter box with enough power to startup new motors. O.k, maybe just one small complaint, the finish on the top surface tends to get scratched easily because of the dirt your chassis carries once you lay your car down onto the box. Apart from that, no problems whatsoever and i run 2 IP 5000mAh 40C LiPo's in them.

I just fitted the 4s 5000mah turnigy pack to my hudy box on the weekend. Needed to dremel the inside plastic supports as it is designed for round stick packs or 2 separate lipos. 5 mins with the dremel and it's fits perfectly

I really like my box. Due to the small size, you can't use it for a Losi truggy without modifications.

Could you please show me in Hobby King the battery that you used?

Also what options do I have so as not to dremmel the plastic?

Will these batteris do the job?

i use the protek 2100:

w w w amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1389_1347/products_id/170974/n/ProTek-R-C-4S-Li-Poly-20C-Battery-Pack-148V-2100mAh-Starter-Box

it is super small and light, and has way more than enough power for a full rcpro weekend with 2 days of racing, and 1 full day of practice. say, more than a gallon.

these guys packing a 5000, or even 2, are hauling around a whole bunch of weight that they dont need to. maybe if your running 3 nitro classes, you might need 5000 mah.

my starter box weighs less than my car, by a good bit.

Mine is great. Use it for my RC8T, comes with high rubber feet for extra clearance to start truggies. Just using two Orion 3000mah Nimh. As long as you preheat your engines during break in your fine.
