Default associated rc8truggy fuel tank

is there anyone who is running a different fuel tank on the rc8t due to the problem of air getting into fuel tank?

I know a few people run the D8T tank, just takes some very minor modding. I am still running the AE tanks with zero issues, knock on wood. But I guess quite a few have had issues.

What do you mean air getting into the fuel tank?

I remember having to do a little fix to a 2nd gen RC8 tank but the 3rd gen and RC8T tanks havent had any issues that I know of.

at. Ptp I notice the crease where they contact the tank together is allowing air in. I did a dunk test and blew into tank air coming out from the center like pin holes and my last tank had leaks too. And when I buy another tank I don't want to get an associated. Unless they had fix these problems. So im trying to figure out what is another option for tanks

I thought this was an old issue. But AE will swap the tank right?

Never had any Issue with the RC8T tank . Works a dream. Well i did have an issue of the tank not included in my kit RC8T FT, so when I called AE they sent me a great tank.

Works great!! Engine will suck that tank bone dry could probably run upside down on a whole tank.

AE stands behind their stuff! I had the original RC8 with the bad tanks I went through four before I found a good one. I called AE and told them I went through four tanks and a week later I had four brand new tanks no questions no old tanks needed.

For example I ordered a JP4 pipe and it came with a hairline crack in the manifold bend which was leaking oil. I called Ofna faxed them my 3 day old receipt and emailed them a pic and they told me they needed the old manifold before they could get a new one out to me but I was going to Motorama in 2 days.

Yeah the X2 tank works great. Just drill a hole about 10mm forward of the front mount, dremel down the mount a little to make it shorter (as it no longer mounts down into the chassis) and dremal out the centre diff top plate a little and your done.
