I think the mid is to support the engine, the other 2 are skidplates or main wear points that plastic probably couldnt stand up to like metal.

You Durango guys really like to bash every car that isn't $700, and make fun of everyone who spends less than $700 on a kit.
Hey it's got a speed in it. I knew I liked TD

You show me a race car that doesn't have 700 into it in hopups CF or fancy alum. Hell I only pit a few parts on the Mugen truggy and it's over 700. The only thing I added to the Durango has been some gold nuts and washers. I did buy some swaybars and springs. Man if I added up all the extra that I dumped into my Losi it's well over 700. Not many guys run box stock.

so you guys are putting $300 in hopups on losi's? I mean think about it HB won 2008 and 2nd in 2010. but 700 for a car? Ive just seen to many people switch to D8 or losi and be so much faster with them. I have yet seen anyone get faster with the durango. But i will say the quality of the durango is very nice!

Looks very interesting! I'm not sure about the receiver batter being under the fuel tank, if that's really where the designers placed it. But then again, I wasn't keen on the Durango's placement of the receiver battery either, being right under the exhaust manifold, but it seems to work just fine. So who am I to say?

Bring it!

How could u knock a new design, when u runnin a new design! It's sad that cats like you think u got a good car cause it cost alot, what u should have did was save a few of those hundreds and bought a proven design, to b honest I've seen durangos run everyother week from rookie Driver to one of the best ur team has to offer (lutz) n to tell u the truth I don't think I've seen one finish a 7min qual! Except his........n were on a indoor clay track with 2' high jumps, I can't imagine what's goin to happen when the avg driver like "urself" takes them outside in a real offroad situation!!!! Bottom line the only thing that looks good on the 408 is all the etching n engraving written on every damn part! Lol! Are u foreal a real racer would never compare a unproven car to a worldchampion car I don't care how much it cost. Ur car hasn't accomplished nothing n it's breakin not track records but it's def breaking lol!

I have to say that this here is the most pathetic thread iv seen to date,

do u realize ur asking us if the 408 is better then a buggy that before this morning maybe 20 people knew was in existence? how is anyone gonna no anything about it? Maybe ur looking for attention but don't ask retarded questions, the 408 at this point is more proven because there's more then 20 ppl who have one, maybe ask this question in a few months n someone will be able to tell u something, I mean come on commen sense here what is it u thought someone would say, 'oh ya I got that one that's in the pictures n iv put 6 gallons on it today n it handles better then my 408' or did u expect someone to look at the pictures n tell u if its better because ppl can tell u how it handles by a picture? I just don't get it I feel like ppl r stupid these days.

Pointless thread ... How to compare a photo with a real car ? You could at least call this "What do you think about HB CR8 ?"

the receiver battery is located below the fuel tank

onroad style ?

that should cool the battery

the cr8 only shares 5% of the d8

josh alton did it again, kudos to him

i had a chance to drive the nexx8, narrow chassis, totally different handling and corners great.

i think narrow chassis is the future of 1/8 buggy

looking at the servo and receiver holder, the cr8 looks production ready
