Default Getting back into nitro

I was running electric buggy/truggy for the past 3 years. I want to give nitro a try again. I choose the dnx408. Now i need to pick up an engine. I was thinking of the Novarossi Plus 21-4C 2010 TEAM Ceramic Edition. How is this motor? I'm not a super fast guy, im more like the middle of the pack guy. I use to run Novi some years back when i ran nitro and I loved it. Please give me your thoughts!

thx

is this one of their higher end engine, or more like mid quality engine? What are the characteristics of this engine? What kind of glow plugs does it use?

Tee,

It's too bad I'm not in the area anymore, I would have let you use one of mine. The +4 has a very smooth powerband, but is deceptively powerful. Talk to Mason and Dylan about it.

It's a great choice that you can't go wrong with. Pleanty of power and supreme runtime. It's part of the higher end racing line. If you want a midline model, look at the Nitrotec motor. Same foundation as the +4, not as tuned.

You can not go wrong with this motor if you break it in right. The +4 is a little challenging during break in but after around the 2nd gallon of fuel it turns into a BEAST and tuning becomes a non issue. I just retired a 14 gallon +4c that never had anything replaced in it other than the glow plug. It would still be running if I had not had it pinched which subsiquently took out the rod bushing hosing the inside of the motor with brass.

BUY IT YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!

ps. its not uncommon to get 13+ minutes out of a tank at good temps in the 230 to 240 range.
