Hot Bodies D8t upgrades
After doing some research, I want to improve my other D8T a bit and just want some verification on my choices.
1. Kyosho 2.3 & 2.5 sway bars
2. Kyosho offset steering rod ends w/ Kyosho 6.8mm balls
3. Kyosho lightweight 50T spur gear ( is this a drop in fit or do I need to buy other parts to make it work in my D8T ?)
4. Kyosho front center drive shaft (is this a drop in fit as well ?)
5. Anodized aluminum servo horns for steering & throttle
If I am correct, these simple mods should increase the performance and durability of my D8T to a competitive level. Please review my selections and add any advice and/or corrections as you like.
Thanks in advance

I'm not looking to drop weight as much as i am wanting to increase durability.
The stock chassis and shock towers are fine with me. My main concern is the front center drive shaft, hinge pins and steering. I can always compensate the weight with increased power via better/larger engine.

2. use the mugen or HB ends, then you dont have to buy balls as you can use the stock ones.
3. never had an issue with any of my stock spurs...
4. stock one will last a good half a season, then replace with the HB DCJ shaft
5. alum servo arms are a must have IMO
Alum rear hubs are a must have on the truggy

Check out our new Aluminum Wing Spacer Kit for Hot Bodies Ve8/D8/D8T. It shaves about 1 gram off (up high, creating a lower CG) and is stronger than the stock plastic spacer.
Only $15.99 from RPP Hobby

I would go aluminum from the word go and include those with your build. I had a stock plastic one shatter during practice in my first race day out with it... Glad i had something to run in a different class that day...
As far as the sway bars, if you get the right stock ones i would check those out first. My kit came with two rear (2.8) bars. I thought it was missing steering somewhere... I have since made my own front bar out of a peice of music (piano) wire, measured out at 2.36mm. Not sure how well this works yet as I havent run it since i installed it...
