Anyone tried BreakFree as a cleaner?

I recently picked up hunting and gun maintenance as another hobby and discovered a WD-40 like product called breakfree which does an awesome job of cleaning and preventing rust in guns.

Just wondering if anyone has tried it in RC. I really want to try it on some of the rusty spots the used 8th scale i just picked up but i dont know how it will react with the plastic.

I've tried that stuff, has ptfe teflon in it so shake well before use. I think it works better than wd-40 on metals it also seems thicker. Someone told me that you shouldn't use teflon based lubes inside engines? Not sure why maybe someone can say something on that part.

Yeah i dont think I would be brave enough to spray it into an engine. I wasthinking of using it to keep rust out of cv joints and center diff assemblys

teflon seems fine in engines. i've used it for just over a year and havnt had any issues all still do 8+ gallons.

some of my engines i dont use any sort of ARO and they still do they the same amount of gallons i am still burning them dry.

however for long periods storage i wouldnt even bother keeping the engine... id run it into the ground then just buy a new one
