true, I have never personally seen a big national or world win translate into more sales of that brand locally.

But the driver and chassis that wins at the local track every week however....

Most RC Pro drivers don't make good money sorry - and that won't change until 50,000 people go to watch them race each week.

These pro's want to win races - they all make back to back tests before choosing their new rides, fortunately the DNX408 is a fast car so once we get it in their hands they want to talk; and then don't forget the appeal of the DEX410 and DESC410 and other cars we have coming.

Some of the comments about getting the wallet out for drivers makes me smile To bring you the designs we are is a way bigger investment than drivers (Designers, moulds and testing are way more expensive.) but good professional drivers mean good feedback, which mean we can make better, faster cars with tighter quality.

Finally I have to agree with JQ winning in RC is not easy, we make as good a car as we can, we hire drivers who we think can help us keep the car at the top; we are in racing for the long haul, but we only look after the chassis.

On race day there are all the other factors, weather, tyre decisions, set-up choices, engines, human errors and plain luck. We try to win everything, but expect to win nothing; we just have to roll up our sleeves and work hard.

Team Durango talent scout . LOL
Now who could ask for a better response than this.

Anyway, great car though.

I heard that Reno moved to Texas. Where is he going to be racing, in the near future?

Look at it from Hot Bodies perspective. It's really hard to tell what actually is turned in on taxes as sponsorship is a form of advertisement which can be claimed. Hot Bodies hasn't lost a red dime by offering these deals. They are simply knocking off the 2 that stand in the middle. That being distributor and dealer.
While I will agree, that anyone with a pulse got a deal, I would like to see the number be smaller as I have seen many with the deal but didn't have the common sense to loosen a wheel nut. Hot Bodies has done what no one else has cared to, they gave something back.
Others really should consider the same.

Which kinda proves my point, a world championship did not sell them cars as much as supporting the regional racers.

Opposed to HB's scattershot approach, If any chassis company took a focused strategy and sponsor say the top 5-6 guys regionally so that any local A main is dominated by their brand. then that would cascade down to all the lower mains an sales as well....IMHO.

It worked for Associated in the early '90's when faced with the losi threat.

If you need an average Joe to be on the team let me know LOL.
There are more people watching for new talent than most people know. Which is why it's always best to put on you best effort at all times both in racing and attitude.
