I was wondering if half-ups would fit on my ofna 9.5 violator buggy, without any thing rubbing?
Thanks |

There 17mm hex so the would bolt on, just not sure if the offset is right for my buggy, would hate to drop the $60 it would cost for rims and badlands on it, to find out it rubs and won't work.. There awesome looking wheels, and I think if applied on my buggy, it would be a much better rig(wanna be truggy)!http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f1...2052008003.jpg |
There made by jconcepts, and there called "rulux half-ups"
You can get them standard offset, and 1/2" offset.. I think my best bet would be to get the 1/2" offset... |
Have you thought about your gearing and what effect running those wheels would have?
If you still want to run them, I'd expect you would need some hub extenders. |
I have thought about the gearing, and I'm at a cross roads, whether to change gear or to leave it. I do not race this thing, just a basher. Looking for a little more clearance.
As it is now, it's got tons of bottom!! Explosive power right from the launch, and I'm hitting top speed fast. Seems like I would want to apply that torque to the top end, seems like it's too short of a gear, but on the track I can imagine that this gearing would be ideal, but I'm running in wide open areas, mostly loose dirt and sand. So I would want a little less accel., more top end, and more clearance and tire contact. Would these tires solve most of these problems?? The bigger the tire(bigger radius = more speed??) the max speed will increase Bigger wider tires = more contact, better traction If you have any input pro's/cons please fill me in.... Again, this is not a competitive car, other then racing my buddy's Buggys, which by the way makes them look stupid as it is, makes them look like going in reverse!!! So with these tires maybe it would give them a chance, haha. Thanks |
Also ifyou can give me a brief run down on changing different size diffs cb/ and spurs, an the effects that come along with each change... I kinda understand the general concept of it, I just not sure if I have it backwards....
