I would put in a new glow plug and try that first. When upside down the engine may have been running lean and burned up your glow plug. I would take the old plug out and look to see if all the coils are in-tact and not deformed. That's where I would start.

Thats what i was thinking but besides the plug is there anything that could have been screwed up from flipping like that?

if you had it running rich and fuel was building up in the bottom, it could have hydrolocked the engine, which may or may not have destroyed the piston, connecting rod, or more (in a worst case scenario).

Why dont you pull it apart and see for yourself?

If you fuel tank has a clunk it could be stuck at the top of the tank not letting it pick up fuel.
